901 is a great producing cow. Her 1994 calf (9401) was GF National Grand Champion Female. Her 1993 calf was a class winner at the Grand National, and was second in the two year old cow class at the 73rd National. Her 1995 calf was a top performer on the WCA/WSU Bull Test. Her 1996 calf, WNH Paymaster 9606, was undefeated in four major shows, winning the Junior Bull Calf Championship at the 74th National and selling for $11,250 for 1/2 interest in the National Sale. On natural calves only, she would be a both GT and GT+ Dam if we still had those awards.
At the 74th National, one son and three grandsons placed 1st and 2nd in two consecutive classes, winning two divisional championships. She is a very long and deep-bodied cow that had a calving interval of 354 days through 6 calves. Her second calf in 1996 (11/30/96) is a beautiful heifer by 9324 that is now at Mill Farms. They purchased her in dam last year. Her 1998 calf was second in class at Denver in 1999, and is now a Herd Sire for Sunrise Ranches and Quick Mill Farms. She has also produced an excellent bull calf out of her grandson, Decathlete.
901 has an excellent udder and a nice small and firm set of teats.
She has excellent milk flow and her milk EPD seems grossly under estimated.
The EPD analysis has attributed the outstanding performance of her calves
more to growth than to milk. This has been true for her daughter,
9401, as well.
