One of the Great Cows of the Breed

9819 is shown above about 3 weeks after having her first calf at 25 months of age.  She has a heifer calf by 9828.  9819 is one of the most exciting heifers we have calved out in recent years.  She looks like she will eventually be a +30 or +40 for milk, and she has a nearly perfect udder to go along with that quantity of milk.  9819 is thick, and very correct with a wide base.  She has pigmentation around both eyes, and is without flaws.  Her dam and grandam are really great cows that are now in our herd or in the herd of Quick Mill Farms.  They came from the Blue Jacket Hereford Farm Dispersal.   9819 was raised at Forked Tree Ranch at Porthill, Idaho by a two year old heifer, 92U.  9819 is a paternal half sib to 9814 and 9820, all sired by 71U, a bull owned by Mike Willis.

9819 may be the best female we have produced since 264, PR05, and 9401.  That is a great line of females to be in.

9819 is in the top half of the breed for nearly every trait, and those numbers well get better in the next analysis when her 2002 bull calf's performance is reported and analyzed.
