With her dam, 9525 was Reserve Champion Cow/Calf pair at the California State Fair SOP Show and at the American Royal. 9525 was 4th in class at the National Genetic Focus Show in Denver, 1996. She is our best linebred heifer. At Denver, she had a SREA of 1.22 and a marbling score of 7.3% (high choice) with only .12 inches of back fat. In 1997 at 24 months of age, she calved unassisted, giving birth to an 87 lbs. heifer calf by WNH Everything. She is a large, broody young cow, weighing 1760 lbs and measuring 57 1/2" tall at two years of age.
As a two-year-old, we flushed 9525 successfully twice, getting 13
embryos out of a flush to Decathlete and 22 embryos out of a flush to
Easy
Producer. We now (1/2000) have 5 ET calves on the ground from
9525
and our expecting more. Her 1999 calves, 9903 and 9916, have done
very well. 9903 sold to Robert Scholes for $3,500. 9916
sold
1/2 interest to Castle Oaks Ranch in California, and is visually
probably
our best 1999 bull calf. Both of these calves are out of the
flush
to Decathlete, and are triple linebred to MSU Optimum Z03.
