Miss Nizhoni 9243

Miss Nizhoni 9243 was PRO5's first calf. 9243's 1996 calf, 9621, was linebred to PRO5, and was the top performing and top selling bull calf on the Oregon PHA Bull Test. Her 1997 heifer calf, 9708, is by Feltons Endurance 745, and is one of the best in the herd. 9708 at 6 months of age was named Grand Champion Heifer at the Western Regional Hereford Classic Puyallup, WA., and was also named Reserve Grand Champion at the Western Nugget National Hereford Show at Reno, Nevada.  The AHA recognized her as the Northwest's Show Heifer of the Year.  9708 was second in class to the National Grand Champion Heifer at the 1999 National Western.

9243 unfortunately drowned in a river at Forked Tree Ranch in the summer of 1998.  Her bull calf by Fortress, nevertheless, went on to be our top indexing bull calf at the WCA/WSU bull test.  We will miss this great producer, but we are fortunate to have a great female, 9708, out of her and semen and progeny on her best bull calf, 9621.
