89U came from the Blue Jacket Herefords dispersal sale. Her 1998 March calf, 9814, is one of our best.  9814 had a birthweight of 71 lbs. and finished the WCA/WSU Bull Test with an index well above average for the 25 Hereford bulls on test.  His 71 lbs birthweight was the lowest of any bull on test, yet his 1134 lbs adjusted yearling weight was in the top six on test.  That is an excellent spread from birthweight to yearling weight.  89U's 1999 heifer calf by 9705, 9921, is another great calf.

89U has a superb pedigree and performance record for low birth weights and excellent maternal performance. She was 64 lbs. at birth. The average birth weights of her sire's calves is 70 lbs. Her dam was 68 lbs. at birth.

89U's first calf, 9814, has sold semen all over the country.  His progeny recently dominated the Western Hereford Classic at Puyallup, WA.  Forked Tree Ranch showed 6 of his progeny and they won Premier Breeder and Premier Exhibitor with them.  His progeny also won the Calf Get of Sire Class and the Get of Sire Class.  They also won first in the pair of calves competition and won first in the Best Five Head competition.
